Yan Xing is an artist in performance, installation, video art and photography. He is known for his interdisciplinary projects. He has built a complex and compelling body of work that reflects critically on how history is manufactured today. His works circulate around large themes such as negativity, resistance, and order, exploring their complex interrelations. In June 2017, Yan Xing had his first institutional solo exhibition at the Kunsthalle Basel in Switzerland. He currently lives and works in Beijing and Los Angeles.
